Employee conditions

Topdanmark’s employees play a crucial role in ensuring that our customers receive the best possible service in every situation. 

Therefore, we focus our efforts on being a progressive workplace for our employees and managers where it is meaningful to work.

Our goals for Topdanmark as a workplace is: 

  • Being a dynamic company where there is room and opportunity for personal and professional development
  • Creating business development through our employees’ skills development. This will only succeed with an organisational culture that demonstrate confidence in our employees
  • Being able to retain and attract competent employees

How we work to achieve our goals 

A close dialogue between the Executive Board and the employees is important to us. This is, among others, achieved through a Cooperation Committee with employee representatives. The committee handles and discusses work related and organisational challenges as well as finds solutions to these challenges.

In addition, we have a range of HR policies and specific activities i.a. concerning: 

  • Employee development
  • Employee commitment and job satisfaction in the working day
  • Health in the working day

Three employee organisations represent the employees at Topdanmark: 

  • The Association of Certified Insurance Sales Representatives
  • The Association of senior salaried employees (DOF), which represents managers and specialists at senior level
  • The Staff Association (member of the Organization of Danish Insurance Employees), which represents all other employees at Topdanmark

The employee organizations make, among other things, collective bargaining agreements with Topdanmark and are represented in the company's work councils. 

In 2018, representatives of the Staff Association were elected to Topdanmark's Board of Directors as members elected by employees.
