New community engagement programme

Topdanmark wants to take responsibility for the society we are part of. With the aim of contributing to strengthening physical and mental health, Topdanmark has launched a new community engagement programme which focuses on giving back to society both through financial and professional support.

Strategic focus

As something new, Topdanmark has linked the community engagement programme more closely to the strategic focus areas in the business. This is largely due to the fact that we see a number of challenges which are both reflected in society and in our business.

In recent years, we have seen among other things major challenges with the mental health and well-being of especially young people. These challenges are also reflected in our claims notifications, which is why we see a need to focus on prevention in both mental and physical health.

Supporting small NGOs

Part of Topdanmark's social responsibility is also to support and help smaller organisations in their work. In actuality, this means that the organisations we cooperate with will receive financial donations and in-kind donations through, among other things, specialised support.

Non-profit organisations are an important part of Danish society. They work for - and with, the people who need it most, and all funds and profits go to strengthen and develop their efforts. However, many of these organisations are non-profit and therefore do not generate large profits for their equity. Instead, they are largely dependent on financial resources from, among other things, private foundations.

In Topdanmark's community engagement programme, we have a specific focus on collaborating with smaller non-profit or civil society organisations to ensure that these organisations are also helped financially to develop their respective work. In this way, we can help ensure that the organizations' efforts benefit more people, and become a permanent offer to the people who need it most.

Added value

By supporting the organisations' own development and help the organisations with their communication, marketing and finances, we also support the people who benefit from the organisations' efforts. It is a triple win for people in need, smaller NGOs and Topdanmark.
