Climate friendly construction

We want to develop products that can contribute to our customers being able to make sustainable choices, for example after a building damage. Therefore, we provide the opportunity to purchase a coverage of climate-friendly construction for insurance of agricultural properties.

We want to develop products that can contribute to our customers being able to make sustainable choices, for example after a building damage. Therefore, we provide the opportunity to purchase a coverage of climate-friendly construction for insurance of agricultural properties.

With this coverage, it becomes more attractive to choose climate-friendly solutions after a damage, as the customer is covered for the increased costs of the climate-friendly repairs or reconstructions. We have also launched the opportunity to purchase a new service for property insurance. The service covers the cost of an annual inspection of biofuel installations, including cleaning of the boiler, inspection of corrosion, leaks and cracks, control of safety functions, etc. This inspection will both reduce the risk of damage - potentially with fire as a result and ensure better utilization of the boiler - and thus also reduce CO2 - emissions.




Prevention that benefits the climate

Prevention of damage, such as fire and water and cloudburst damage, is appropriate for several reasons: it gives the business customer a stable operation, it reduces the cost of compensation and finally it benefits the climate, as rebuilding after damage is associated with resource consumption and CO2- emission. The climate benefits are especially evident in the prevention and limitation of cloudburst damage and major fires, and therefore we are taking action.

If we assess that a business customer has a particularly high risk of cloudburst damage or major fire, we demand prevention efforts from the customer. Our engineering team advises the customer on possible solutions, e.g. installation of a groundwater pump or fire sectioning and the choice of the specific efforts is always in dialogue with the customer.

We have good experience of actively involving customers in the choice of solution. It is far more motivating and provides a better experience for the customer than just being instructed to take the standard solution.
