Human rights

As a business, we are responsible for ensuring that human rights are complied with throughout our value chain. We take that seriously and have therefore implemented relevant policies and procedures in the areas where we have potential challenges. Topdanmark respects the internationally acknowledged human rights, and it is our goal not to violate them.

As a business, we are responsible for ensuring that human rights are complied with throughout our value chain. We take that seriously and have therefore implemented relevant policies and procedures in the areas where we have potential challenges. Topdanmark respects the internationally acknowledged human rights, and it is our goal not to violate them.

Inspired by the UN Guidelines for Business and Human Rights, we currently monitor which human rights Topdanmark may have challenges with, both in relation to the operation of our business, such as sourcing and our products. But also, in terms of the professional advice we receive.

Procedures

The process we run, has shown that our policies, initiatives, and management systems are in place in relation to potential non-compliance with human rights. This especially applies in relation to:

  • Our investments
  • Our purchases for operating the business, repair of damage, advice to our customers etc.
  • Our handling of personal data, which potentially can result in a breach in the right to privacy.
  • Our employee relations and the risk of stress, job dissatisfaction, and lack of equal rights.
  • Our diversity and non-discrimination policies.
