Topdanmark raises DKK 495,405 for Knæk Cancer (the Danish Cancer Society)

The amount exceeds all expectations and all previous campaigns.

A record high

All of week 43 was dedicated to Knæk Cancer, when Topdanmark once again supported TV2 and the Danish Cancer Society’s  campaign. This year, a record high of DKK 495,405 was raised. The full amount is donated to the Danish Cancer Society.

This year, Topdanmark did not only break the record of registered employees to the event. Friday evening it became clear that the total amount raised also reached a record high. The amount is the result of 834 employees’ hard work as well as the great Knæk Cancer raffle and fundraising from the Life company.

”We are completely blown away by pride. It is very impressive that we have managed to raise such a fantastic amount. It shows the great desire to contribute to the battle against cancer, and it also proves that Knæk Cancer has become part of our culture. A huge thank you to everyone who contributed, and all the volunteers who helped out”
Marianne Granzow, HR Consultant og Michael Knak, IT Informatics Employee

Spinning, running, walking, dancing, basketball, TRX, step and yoga: DKK 60,975

All week, perky employees all over Denmark were sweating to raise money for the good cause. Everywhere, the employees reported that there was a great atmosphere. The activities raised a total of DKK 60,975.

Knæk Cancer raffle: DKK 188,685

Once again, Topdanmark’s employees could support the Knæk Cancer campaign by buying raffle tickets to the Knæk Cancer raffle. In the raffle you could win everything from massages and hotel stays to interior design, bags and wine. This brought in a total of DKK 188,685.

Life customers and collaboration partners

For several years, it has been a tradition that the Life company invites customers and collaboration partners to a Knæk Cancer event in week 43 in which everybody sweats together for the good cause. This year, this event raised DKK 76,100.

A lively Friday event

A number of cool employees tied up their sneakers Friday afternoon. In Ballerup, there was a bar and employee get-together, and the option of donating money by getting a (fake) tattoo. For the first time, the Viby office also organised a Friday event and a couple of thousand DKK was raised by walking, running, playing table tennis, swinging kettlebells, doing hula-hoops and riding on office bikes.

Praise from the Danish Cancer Society

The result of the campaign was forwarded to the Danish Cancer Society who was very happy with Topdanmark’s great commitment and extraordinary efforts.
